MV SATURN II
The best example of SSSPL working under adverse conditions is the distressed vessel MV Saturn II. The vessel was stuck in shallow waters while navigating towards the D.H.I.L jetty at Dahej in June 2002. After being refloated by a salvage company in August 2002, the said vessel arrived at Bhavnagar Anchorage in September 2002. It carried 63897 MT of steam coal along with 20,000 MT of seawater due to an extensively damaged hull.
The said vessel arrived with failed generators, no power, broken cranes, and non-functioning grabs. The biggest challenge was to unload the vessel midstream. However, Shree Sagar Stevedores took over the vessel and discharged it after over-coming series of legal and operational battles. The unloading process commenced on 15th November 2002 and was completed on 2nd January 2003.
OPENING OF THE DUMAS CHANNEL
SSSPL undertook the major task of making the channel operational which was facing massive problems due to heavy siltation. With the cooperation of fishermen and relevant authorities, a new channel for navigation was made possible after massive negotiations thus reviving the port from the brink of being non-operational.

Shree Sagar Stevedores Pvt Ltd. has the highest level of discharge rate to date Magdalla Port has ever witnessed. We have crossed the highest mark i.e. 9000MT per day and achieved a soaring number of 21,832MT a day, making us achieve the highest rate of discharge in the history of Magdalla Port.
